RIJKSMUSEUM

about this project

For this project, I took part in a product design competition for the Rijksmuseum, focused on creating a product inspired by art. My idea was to design a set of small sieves with famous paintings from the Rijksmuseum engraved into them. The sieves can be used to create patterns on pancakes, coffee, cakes and other food by sprinkling ingredients such as powdered sugar or cocoa over them. This brings art into everyday moments in a simple and playful way.

The product connects food and art by turning well-known paintings into edible designs. Each sieve has a different artwork, allowing you to choose which painting you want to recreate. The final result makes an ordinary dish more personal and visually interesting. The idea behind the product is simple: art makes everything taste a little better.
